Phil Ivey has been labeled as the greatest poker player in the world by many of the top professionals. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to NJ before his first birthday. His papa showed him to penny-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From then on on, he was addicted to poker and wanted to learn every little thing he could about the game. He routinely told his grandparents that he wanted to be a professional poker player. Phil did not allow the detrimental feedback from others kill his goal of becoming one of the strongest poker competitors on the planet.
