Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Founded on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the wild west in a wonderful game for early level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler vs. the croupier, unlike almost all other poker games that gamblers wager with other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginning players don’t have to fret about any other, more experienced players winning their mulla.

A further Pai Gow advantage is the relatively leisurely game pace, rookies will be able to take their time and plan without having to make frenzied choices.

It is also easier to enjoy for a long time with only a little amount of money since, to not win, each of your hands needs to be under each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is assigned seven cards face up and the dealer receives 7 cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and a 2 card hand need to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the houses.
